Description:

Trade Loop is a Game Jam Game Made For the GMTK Game Jam 2025.

In this game you will be fighting off hordes of enemies enemies while you hurtle to the next destination on your trade loop

This game fits the Game Jam Theme because you are on a trade loop and your turrets are looping around your ship as you travel to your next trade loop destination.

How to Play:

To fire the main cannon (facing out) on your turret press Z.

To fire the secondary cannon (facing inward) press X.

You can only have one turret active at a time. There are two ways to change your selected turret! Press 1, 2, 3, or 4 keys to change the active turret OR you could cycle through them with the C key. The active one will have a red sight.

When you fire your weapons you use ammo (the yellow bar), press the space bar to start reloading(or stop to protect yourself.) You can not shoot or move while reloading so switch to another turret.

If your turret runs out of health then it will explode. Its health will regenerate slowly, although this will only work when it is not actively being damaged. If your turret has exploded, at the next stop it will be fixed.

To move your turret around press the left and right keys to change the angle of the turret. The up and down keys change the position of the turret.

The center of your ship also has a (green) health bar. Enemies will try to attack the center of your ship as well as the surrounding turrets.

If the center of your ship runs out of health it will explode causing a game over. Be careful, the center of the ship's health does not regenerate so protect it!

Also you can press Escape to pause.

You can Practice before you play in the how to play menu.

Story:

It is your first day on the job as a transport security officer! You have been deployed on trade LOOP 1789 which runs between the Earth and the Moon. Your goal is to

fend off pirates for as many LOOPS as you can. The pirates want to destroy your ship to support the moon ore black market. Make as many trips to the moon and back as you can and support the one true Earth Alliance.

Your spacecraft is the very specific <X77H860> it may not be the quickest or heavily armed model around, but it has one thing going for it. There are plenty of compatible parts and ammo lying around. This one has been modified to have 4 turrets looping around the center hub (vs two).

Now get a move on and like I always say to new recruits "Try not to die out there!".... the costs of that are annoying…
